The most recent change to the ETF Screener is a relatively minor one, but provides a potentially valuable resource in the current environment. All ETFs in the ETF Database are now tagged as either “active” or “passive” and a new field has been added to the screener to allow investors to filter ETFs accordingly.
ETFs classified as “active” in the screener include those that do not track the performance of an index. As such, the five active ETFs from PowerShares (PQY, PQZ, PMA, PLK, and PSR) are tagged as active, as are the currency products from WisdomTree. As of March 16, there are seven active bond ETFs, nine active equity ETFs, eight active currency funds and one active real estate ETFs.
Over the next month, we’ll be rolling out several additional upgrades to ETFdb.com–be sure to check back often to see the new resources we’ll be making available. As always, don’t hesitate to contact our team with any suggestions, comments, or questions!
