The coming of the new year hasn’t slowed down the rapid pace of the ETF industry, with December showing high levels of activity on the product development front. This past month saw the debut of a number of first-to-market products as well several new and intriguing investment strategies.
The total new ETF launches for 2011 shattered previous records, with 284 products hitting the markets. Nine of those debuted during the month of December.
