ETF Spotlight: June 2013

Each month, we highlight an ETF flying under the radar that offers exposure to a unique asset class or investment strategy. This month, we take a closer look at a large-cap value ETF that offers actively managed exposure to U.S. companies that show strong characteristics in returning free cash flow to their shareholders.

The Large Cap Value Equities saw a number of new funds enter the sector space this May, with a current total of 45 funds. This first offering by Cambria is one of these new funds looking for a niche in the large market space, and seems to have found one through its use of active management. The Cambria Shareholder Yield ETF (SYLD, B-) may be a relatively new fund, but it shows a lot of potential through its unique perspective of the market.
