This ETF offers a way to access the Asia Pacific region while avoiding the market capitalization weighting methodologies that some investors find flawed. PAF offers a way to access a number of developed Pacific economies, with Australia and South Korea accounting for most of the underlying holdings. The methodology utilized by this ETF breaks the link between stock price and index weighting, which may make for a better way to access both domestic and international equity markets. PAF is an alternative to funds such as EPP, and this ETF can be attractive for investors who believe the RAFI methodology offers an opportunity to generate excess returns over the long run. In exchange for this less conventional strategy, investors in PAF can expect to pay a bit more in the way of fees.
