The Nevada-based casino and hotel operator, gave its report last night and investors were undoubtedly interested to hear what the company had to say regarding its [...]
Click here to read the original article on ETFdb.com.

Related Posts:

Wednesday’s ETF To Watch: Gaming ETF (BJK)

Gaming ETF (BJK) On A Hot Streak

Van Eck Debuts Proprietary Indexes, Barclays Drops “Capital”

Australia, Auto ETFs In Focus On May Day

Beyond XLY: Considering Consumer Discretionary ETFs

<IMG SRC="http://ad.doubleclick.net/ad/N3220.etfdb.comOX20380/B6170340.6;sz=1x1;pc=[TPAS_ID];ord=[timestamp]?"
While the economic outlook remains uncertain going into the second half of 2010, many large corporations have posted solid earnings that have handily beaten expectations. These robust reports have helped to jump-start the sagging stock market but have failed to make a meaningful dent in the unemployment number which still stands at an uncomfortably high level of 9.6%. Even more troubling is that when using the broader U-6 measurement, unemployment stands at 15.6%, and close to 7 million people have been out of work for more than half a year. This dismal jobs situation has made consumers increasingly gloomy with regards to the economic outlook. In the latest continuation of this trend, the Conference Board reported yesterday that its Consumer Confidence Index fell to 50.4 from June’s revised reading of 54.3 which is especially poor given that analysts had expected the index to post a level of 51, the lowest [...]
Click here to read the original article on ETFdb.com.

Related Posts:

Friday’s ETF To Watch: Market Vectors Gaming ETF (BJK)

Gaming ETF (BJK) On A Hot Streak

Van Eck Debuts Proprietary Indexes, Barclays Drops “Capital”

Australia, Auto ETFs In Focus On May Day

Beyond XLY: Considering Consumer Discretionary ETFs

<IMG SRC="http://ad.doubleclick.net/ad/N3220.etfdb.comOX20380/B6170340.6;sz=1x1;pc=[TPAS_ID];ord=[timestamp]?"
Taking a quick look around the investing landscape, one might not immediately suspect that we’ve entered the dog days of summer; there is no shortage of bears who have seemingly come out of hibernation. But not everyone is down on the economic outlook with bulls making a case for a strong second half of 2010. In a recent piece for the Wall Street Journal, James Altucher notes that some legends of investing are haven’t fled for safety just yet, instead making some sizable bets on a recovery. Most investors lack the capital to launch a buyout of one of the world’s largest railroads, but that doesn’t necessarily preclude them from following in the footsteps of Warren Buffett.
