International Dividend ETFs focus on dividend-paying equities domiciled in any nation that is not the United States. This includes developed markets as well as emerging ones. The ETFs invest in variety of market caps and sectors according to their mandates. However, the funds will either invest in emerging or developed markets, but not both.

Note that ETFs are usually tagged by ETFdb analysts as more than one type; for example, an inverse gold ETF may be tagged as “inverse” and as “gold” and as “commodity”.
