Further expanding on its AI-centric ETF offerings, KraneShares announced the launch of its newest ETF on June 5, 2025. The KraneShares Global Humanoid and Embodied Intelligence Index ETF (KOID) now trades on the Nasdaq.
The next evolution in AI robotics has arrived, driven by some of the largest names in the industry. Unitree Robotics, maker of the popular “dog” robot (the Go2), also offers a range of humanoid robots in its G1 series. Tesla offers the Optimus, and a number of other humanoid robots are currently in development and on the market.
“It’s very likely that humanoid robots are going to be robots that we can deploy into the world relatively easily, and this is the first robot that really has a chance to achieve the high volume and technology scale necessary to advance technology,” Nvidia’s CEO, Jensen Huang, remarked on Optimus recently to Bloomberg. “I think this is likely the next multitrillion dollar industry.”
Morgan Stanley believes the market for humanoid robots could reach more than $5 trillion by 2050 according to the firm’s research. They theorize that more than 1 billion human-like robots could be in use by then, with adoption picking up strongly towards the end of the 2030s and beyond.
Invest Now in the Humanoid Robot Evolution with KOID
KOID seeks to capture this momentum and potential of the next generation of robots. Humanoid robots combine a physical robot with AI integration. This allows them to learn, sense, and interact with the world around them. KraneShares explains that they encompass a subset of the embodied intelligence ecosystem. These human-like robots are specifically designed to exist in spaces designed for people.
The strategy provides a forward-looking approach to AI investing through its focus on humanoid robots. It provides exposure to the ecosystem surrounding developments related to these next generation robots. This includes mechanical systems, humanoid manufacturing and integration, actuation systems, and those related to sensation and perception. It also provides exposure to semiconductors and the technologies underpinning humanoid robots, as well as the critical minerals necessary for their development.
“We are excited to bring the Humanoid opportunity to global investors through KOID, the latest addition to our suite of innovative global thematic ETFs,” KraneShares’ CEO Jonathan Krane said in the press release. “At KraneShares, our core goal is to launch strategies like KOID to capture emerging megatrends, giving our clients access to powerful growth opportunities as they accelerate.”
KOID seeks to track the MerQube Global Humanoid and Embodied Intelligence Index. The Index contains companies whose businesses relate to humanoid and embodied intelligence development and their ecosystems.
KOID carries a management fee of 0.69%, with fee waivers that expire on August 1, 2026.
