International Real Estate ETFs cover a wide range of real estate-related equities domiciled outside the United States. Emerging markets may be included in the fund’s holdings. These ETFs provide exposure to real estate investment trusts (REITs), in those nations that have adopted that tax-structure, as well as property managers, land owners, brokers and other real estate services. These funds may or may not be diversified according to their mandates.

Note that ETFs are usually tagged by ETF Database analysts as more than one type; for example, an inverse gold ETF may be tagged as “inverse” and as “gold” and as “commodity”.
