The index invests substantially all of its assets in all the securities of the S&P 500 Financial Select Sector Stock Covered Call Index in substantially similar weights, and sells or “writes” covered call options on up to 100% of each of the option-eligible securities in the portfolio in an attempt to generate additional monthly income from the call option premiums collected.
