Top Performing Levered/Inverse ETFs Last Week

This election week the ProShares Ultra VIX Short-Term Futures (UVXY ) dominated returns to the tune of 29% gains. Large-caps, oil, internet tech, and small-caps make up most of the rest of our top ten chart in a series of pairs.
The outlier for the week is the ProShares UltraShort MSCI Brazil (BZQ ). While it may seem like a left field addition, Brazilian funds have struggled this past week, leaving the ultra short BZQ in a perfect position. This continues a trend we’ve seen YTD, though it is only in the past month that BZQ has made it into the black. Still, it’s not bad considering that a counter fund, the Direxion Daily Brazil Bull 2X Shares (BRZU ), is down over 94% YTD.
