Fidelity Investment’s investment-grade securitized ETF is seeing noteworthy investor attention in the current environment.
The strong interest places the Fidelity Investment Grade Securitized ETF (FSEC ) among the top 10 most popular active ETFs in 2025 to date, as measured by net flows, according to Kirsten Chang, senior industry analyst at VettaFi.
FSEC aims to provide a high level of current income for investors, with the fund yielding 4.22% as of May 18, 2025. The fund is actively managed. It invests in medium- and high-quality investment-grade securitized debt securities and repurchase agreements for those securities.

The Fidelity ETF comprises mortgage-backed securities (MBS) and commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) issued by the U.S. government and its agencies, as well as MBS, CMBS, and other asset-backed securities issued by nongovernment-related entities.
FSEC’s popularity has also placed it among Fidelity’s largest ETFs by assets under management. Additionally, the investment-grade securitized ETF is the firm’s second-largest fixed income ETF, trailing only the ultra-popular Fidelity Total Bond ETF (FBND ). FSEC was launched in 2021 and has $3.46 billion in assets as of March 31.
Fidelity’s fixed income ETF range also includes the Fidelity Low Duration Bond Factor ETF (FLDR ), the Fidelity Enhanced High Yield ETF (FDHY ), and the Fidelity Corporate Bond ETF (FCOR ), among other active and passive offerings.
Fidelity’s Investment-Grade Securitized ETF: A Solution for Active Exposure
Active has proven to be a key theme of 2025, as total assets in active ETFs recently surpassed $1 trillion. Roughly one-third of all inflows have gone into active ETFs in 2025. Furthermore, nearly 90% of new ETF launches being actively managed strategies, according to Chang.
Fidelity’s FSEC is a beneficiary of the rise of interest in active ETFs. This is because Fidelity has a long track record of offering high-quality active strategies.
