Widespread Adoption of AI Can Push This ETF Higher

The AI investing theme continues to gain momentum, offering traders a multitude of opportunities to capitalize on advancements in technology. As more adoption takes place on a massive scale, it could push the Direxion Daily Robotics, Artificial Intelligence & Automation Index Bull 2X ETF (UBOT B-) higher.

The AI theme itself can open the door for long-term buy-and-hold plays, but also short-term plays. The capital markets saw  how AI news can quickly change the market landscape with the Chinese AI company DeepSeek.

The announcement of its AI technology platform certainly shook the capital markets and movements like this give traders plenty of buy and sell opportunities. With widespread AI adoption occurring, the investment opportunities are seemingly endless.

“Over the next five to 10 years, BofA Global Research expects gen AI to catalyze an evolution in corporate efficiency and productivity that may transform the global economy, as well as our lives,” said Vanessa Cook, content strategist for Bank of America Institute.

Adoption is already occurring en masse across all business sectors.

“The fields of customer service, marketing, and customer development are going to see massive adoption,” said Sheldon Monteiro, chief product officer at Publicis Sapient. “In these uses case, we have enough reference implementations to point to and say, ‘There’s value to be had here.’”

One Trade for AI and More

As mentioned, with a myriad of opportunities available, it’s difficult to pinpoint one potential trade for exposure. One way is to simply trader entire industry and more with UBOT.

UBOT seeks daily investment results equal to 200% of the daily performance of the Indxx Global Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Thematic Index (IBOTZNT). The index is designed to provide exposure to exchange-listed companies in developed markets. It looks at companies expected to benefit from the adoption and utilization of robotics and/or artificial intelligence.

Salient characteristics of UBOT:

  • The IBOTZNT provides exposure to exchange-listed companies in developed markets expected to benefit from robotics and artificial intelligence. It includes companies involved in developing industrial robots and production systems and automated inventory management. Additionally, it includes companies developing unmanned vehicles, voice/image/text recognition, and medical robots or robotic instruments.
  • To qualify for inclusion in the index, companies must have a minimum market capitalization of $100 million. They must also have a minimum average daily turnover for the last six months greater than or equal to $2 million in order to be eligible for inclusion in the index.
