Inverse/Short Oil ETFs seek to provide the opposite daily or monthly return of various oil-based natural resource prices. These funds can invest in a single commodity or a combination of several, including crude oil (Brent and WTI), gasoline and heating oil. The funds use futures and can be leveraged. The level of magnification is included in their descriptions and is generally -1x, -2x, or -3x .
