ETF Issuer League Table
The ETF industry moves fast. Each week, we run the numbers on the ETF industry and tally up the winners and losers in terms of fund flows and total assets.
This week’s big winner was Vanguard. The fund giant not only pulled in over $2 billion in new assets this past week, it had the top two funds as well. The Vanguard S&P 500 ETF (VOO ) and the Vanguard Total International Stock ETF (VXUS ) topped the charts with inflows of $547 million and $452 million respectively. The biggest loser was iShares as the iShares iBoxx $ High Yield Corporate Bond ETF (HYG ) lost $2.3 billion this past week. The loss was mitigated by the iShares 20+ Year Treasury Bond ETF (TLT ) coming third with $379 million inflows, but the issuer is still down over $2 billion for the week.
On the smaller side, Renaissance Capital had a stellar week. The Renaissance IPO ETF (IPO ) brought in $32.5 million accounting for 9% of the issuer’s total AUM. Coming in at the bottom was Russell. The issuer has only one fund, the QRAFT AI-Enhanced U.S. High Dividend ETF (HDIV ) so any losses hit them hard. The meager $0.62 million that investors pulled from the fund translates to a loss of over 26% of their AUM.
