Two months from now, the ETF community of advisors and industry folks will come together. The Exchange conference kicks off in Las Vegas on March 23. For three days, there will be expert insights on practice management and portfolio strategies, plus lots of time for networking. My excitement is building daily and only a small part of it has to do with the 11 degree weather in New York City. The high this week in Las Vegas is 60 degrees.
The Exchange conference is where the industry reunites in person. Most of the time I talk to advisors and asset management contacts via a screen. Technology has made it much easier to stay connected. Indeed, VettaFi hosted more than 150 virtual events in 2024, where advisors learned from industry experts and each other about market developments. However, nothing compares to being in person.

Who Is Coming to Exchange?
There are more than 500 advisors with CRDs currently registered to physically attend Exchange. We expect the advisor count to rise sharply in the coming months. In addition, more than 90 industry partners are helping VettaFi make the conference a reality. Firms like Capital Group, DWS, FlexShares, Goldman Sachs, Morningstar, NYSE, State Street Global Advisors, and T Rowe Price.
On stage, attendees will hear from industry experts to support their portfolio strategy and practice management goals. Confirmed speakers offering market insights include Rob Arnott of Research Affiliates; Paul Baiocchi of SS&C ALPS Advisors; Keith Buchanon of Global Investments; Dr. David Kelly and Jon Maier of JPMorgan Asset Management; Katherine Krantz of the Macro Institute; and Kyla Scanlon of Bread.
A Conference About More Than ETFs
Meanwhile, Neil Bage, Jeff Concepcion, Dr. Cristina Kuberry, Anne Lester, Jennifer Morgan, Brian Portnoy, and Leila Shaver will be some of those on stage providing expertise to help advisors continue to grow their practices. Check out the agenda to learn more about sessions, such as Building a Human Centric Wealth Culture; Should You Outsource Your CIO; and Retirement: Communicating with (B)oomers to Gen (Z).
Many sessions will be moderated by VettaFi Voices such as Kirsten Chang, Roxanna Islam, Cinthia Murphy, and myself. However, we are bringing in third-party experts such as Eric Balchunas, Emily Graffeo, and Nate Geraci to provide outside perspectives.
Eric and Nate will also be a part of the ETF study hall on Sunday. They will be joined by John Davi, Ugo Egbunike, Elisabeth Kashner, Todd Sohn, and Alex Varner. This group will provide due diligence and best trading practices tips to advisors. VettaFi is working to provide continuing education credits for advisors in attendance for many of these Exchange sessions.

Still Time to Register for Exchange
The agenda also includes a lot of time for advisors to meet with one another and with experts from the ETF ecosystem. We know one-on-one discussions are just as important as learning during a session. If you have not registered for the March conference, there’s still time to do so. If you have questions about the event, email [email protected].
Advisors with a valid CRD can be my guest. Use ‘JACKPOT100’ as the code in your registration.
