Below is a look at ETFs that currently offer attractive buying opportunities.
The ETFs included in this list are rated as buy candidates for two reasons. First, each of these funds is deemed to be in an uptrend based on the fact that its 50-day moving average is above its 200-day moving average, which are popular indicators for gauging long-term and medium-term trends, respectively.
Second, each of these ETFs is also trading below its five-day moving average, thereby offering a near-term ‘buy on the dip’ opportunity, given the longer-term uptrend at hand. Note that this prospects list also features a liquidity screen by excluding ETFs with average trading volumes below the one million shares mark. As always, investors of all experience levels are advised to use stop-loss orders and practice disciplined profit-taking techniques.

- 44 ETFs made it to the buy on the dip prospects list. The U.S. market’s strength in September is underpinned by a series of positive economic indicators. Notably, robust second-quarter GDP growth of 3.8% and jobless claims figures pointing to a resilient labor market are bolstering economic confidence.
- Volatility Shares 2x Bitcoin Strategy ETF (BITX ) topped the buy on the dip list. A strengthening U.S. dollar, coupled with regulatory uncertainty and a cascade of over ~$1.50 billion in long position liquidations, has triggered a severe selloff in the cryptocurrency market. This event, dubbed “Red September 2025,” has cut the total market value by ~$160 billion to its current level of approximately $3.80 trillion.
- Bitwise Ethereum ETF (ETHW ), Grayscale Ethereum Mini Trust ETF (ETH ), iShares Ethereum Trust ETF (ETHA ), Grayscale Ethereum Trust ETF (ETHE ), and many other Ethereum-focused funds featured on the buy on the dip list. A key short-term risk stems from the US Treasury’s review of stablecoin reserve rules under the GENIUS Act. With the comment period ending October 18, any stricter requirements could dampen network activity, as stablecoins like USDC and USDT facilitate roughly 75% of Ethereum’s transactions.
- Several bond funds like iShares TIPS Bond ETF (TIP ), Schwab U.S. TIPS ETF (SCHP ), Schwab Intermediate-Term U.S. Treasury ETF (SCHR ), Fidelity Total Bond ETF (FBND ) and others were contenders on the buy on the dip list. In a counter-intuitive move, U.S. Treasury yields rose for the second straight day, despite the Federal Reserve’s first interest rate cut of the year (in the third week of September). This suggested investors’ focus on signs of economic strength, such as rising GDP estimates and a slight uptick in inflation, rather than on the Fed’s looser monetary policy.
