Buy on the Dip Prospects: July 8 Edition

Sneha ShahJul 08, 2026
2026-07-08

Below is a look at ETFs that currently offer attractive buying opportunities.

The ETFs included in this list are rated as buy candidates for two reasons. First, each of these funds is deemed to be in an uptrend based on the fact that its 50-day moving average is above its 200-day moving average, which are popular indicators for gauging long-term and medium-term trends, respectively.

Second, each of these ETFs is also trading below its five-day moving average, thereby offering a near-term ‘buy on the dip’ opportunity, given the longer-term uptrend at hand. Note that this prospects list also features a liquidity screen by excluding ETFs with average trading volumes below the one million shares mark. As always, investors of all experience levels are advised to use stop-loss orders and practice disciplined profit-taking techniques.

  • 58 ETFs made it to the buy on the dip prospects list. The U.S. stock market increased last month, driven by strong overall corporate earnings and cooling inflation pressures.
  • Several Micron Technology focused ETFs like Direxion Daily MU Bull 2X Shares (MUU ) and GraniteShares 2x Long MU Daily ETF (MULL ) topped the buy on the dip list because investors worried the massive AI memory boom is peaking. A sharp single-day selloff was also triggered by fears of slowing semiconductor demand in Asia, alongside broader concerns about the high costs of building AI infrastructure.
  • Another tech-focused fund like GraniteShares 2x Long INTC Daily ETF (INTW ) featured on the list. Intel stock experienced a drop last month due to a combination of market-wide technology sell-offs, profit-taking after a massive rally, and analyst concerns about market share.
  • Direxion Daily MSCI South Korea Bull 3X Shares (KORU B-), iShares MSCI South Korea ETF (EWY B), and Franklin FTSE South Korea ETF (FLKR B) were buy on the dip candidates. South Korea’s stock market plunged last month due to a massive sell-off in major technology and AI stocks.
  • Many semiconductor focused ETFs like ProShares Ultra Semiconductors (USD A-), iShares PHLX Semiconductor ETF (SOXX B), and Invesco PHLX Semiconductor ETF (SOXQ B+) also made it to the list. The U.S. semiconductor sector fell due to investor anxiety over slowing AI infrastructure spending, lower-than-expected earnings reports from major companies, and fears of higher interest rates.
  • Several energy ETFs such as First Trust Energy AlphaDEX Fund (FXN B), Fidelity MSCI Energy Index ETF (FENY A+), and Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLE A) were buy on the dip contenders last month. US energy prices fell primarily because oil exports and tanker traffic gradually resumed through the Strait of Hormuz. This reopening ended the severe supply bottlenecks caused by the recent Iran conflict, allowing Gulf producers to increase global supplies and driving down crude oil and gasoline prices.
