This ETF offers exposure to a basket of closed-end funds. GCE may suffer some liquidity issues, and the ETN structure employed exposes investors to potential credit risks. Moreover, the expense ratio charged is significant, especially for the relatively straightforward exposure delivered. It's not surprising that GCE has little in the way of assets; this product has very little use to most investors. If you're interested in accessing CEFs through an ETF, try PowerShares PCEF; that fund offers a juicy yield at an attractive price and with enhanced transparency.
