OOOOOKlahoma, where the wind comes sweepin’ down the plain. That’s right y’all, Oklahoma has more attractions than you might think. For instance, Beaver, Oklahoma is home to the World Championship of Cow Chip Throwing. The event slogan is, “When the chips are down, pick ‘em up and throw ‘em!” There is also an official state meal. Eating it will cost you approximately 7,000 Weight Watcher points. In addition to these claims to fame, the state also houses the “Pipeline Crossroads of the World” in the small town of Cushing, Oklahoma, and 12 MLPs call the Sooner State home.
On Thursday, November 12th, Pinnacle Investment Advisors, in partnership with the University of Tulsa, will be hosting its fourth annual Tulsa MLP Conference. The event will take place on the University of Tulsa campus, and is poised to serve as a platform for networking and education. Find the schedule and learn more about the event by clicking here.
Alerian’s Director of Global Operations, Emily Hsieh, will join an outstanding group of speakers participating in the conference. She will be giving a market update and participating in a roundtable discussion centering on topics such as midstream outlook, commodity prices, and M&A expectations.
If you’re in the Tulsa area, or just have some frequent flyer miles to burn, we’d love to offer you a pass to this event free of charge. We have 20 passes that will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. We welcome anyone who would like to attend. To claim a pass, please email us at [email protected]. Include your name and contact phone number with your request. We will reply to you within 48 hours to confirm our receipt of your email and to verify that a pass will be waiting for you at check-in. Halloween is the last day we can accept requests.
If you want to make a weekend of it, the Oklahoma City Thunder are playing the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday, November 13th. It’s only about an hour and a half drive from the conference site. Unfortunately, we do not have passes to the basketball game, but most would agree that Kevin Durant and Tim Fenn are equally entertaining.
