On Monday, Rockefeller Asset Management unveiled the Rockefeller Global Equity ETF
For investors, the fund seeks to offer capital growth with a long-term horizon. The actively managed fund has a net expense ratio of 0.55%.
“Building on Rockefeller’s over 30-year history in global investing, we are excited to expand on our suite of actively managed ETF solutions and provide a broad range of investors with access to our deeply experienced investment team and extensive legacy in this area of the market,” said Rockefeller Asset Management President and CIO Casey Clark.
A Worldly Strategy
Primarily, RGEF focuses its investments toward global equities. This includes securities that can be denominated in the U.S. dollar or foreign currencies.
Even though RGEF may hold a global portfolio, the fund expects to be heavily weighted toward U.S. companies. In particular, U.S. companies are slated to constitute between 55%-75% of the fund’s overall portfolio size.
The ETF’s portfolio can be constituted with companies of any cap size. That said, the fund generally focuses investments on established companies with market caps above $4 billion.
RGEF may hold up to 30% of its assets in companies in emerging or frontier markets. However, the wide majority of fund assets will remain committed to developed markets.
When it comes to choosing securities for RGEFs portfolio, companies get evaluated on their overall financial condition. This includes a bottom-up security analysis to screen assets based on their corresponding sector. A number of company factors will be evaluated, including return on capital, overall valuation, and barriers to competition.
Rockefeller’s latest fund is not limited to any particular investment style, and can choose to invest in any asset it believes has attractive valuation. As such, RGEF will not aim to offer targeted exposure to any sectors or geographic regions.
Right now, Rockefeller Asset Management has five ETFs available for trading within the United States. These five funds alone represent well over $1.5 billion in assets under management.
