iShares Energy ETFs seek to provide investors with exposure to energy equities. This includes firms across the entire energy value chain, such as E&P firms, oil service stocks, midstream/pipeline companies as well as downstream refiners and marketers of fuel. The ETFs may hold both domestic and international stocks, however, these funds may be limited to just one subsector or region.

Note that ETFs are usually tagged by ETF Database analysts as more than one type; for example, an inverse gold ETF may be tagged as “inverse” and as “gold” and as “commodity”.
